Welcome to Taboo! Social. By accessing this website, creating an account, using the Taboo! Social HUD, or using any of our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not access or use the platform.

Throughout these Terms, the words “Taboo! Social,” “we,” “our,” and “us” refer to the owners and operators of the platform. The words “you,” “your,” “member,” and “user” refer to anyone who accesses or uses Taboo! Social.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account or use Taboo! Social.
By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into this agreement.
Accounts created by, for, or on behalf of minors are strictly prohibited and may be permanently removed without notice.
Taboo! Social is intended exclusively for adults and may contain mature or adult-oriented content.

Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the security and confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs through your account.

You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account and to keep your account information reasonably current.

You may not sell, transfer, share, rent, or provide access to your account to another person.

If you believe your account has been compromised or accessed without permission, you should notify the Taboo! Social administration team promptly.

Second Life Accounts and Identity

Taboo! Social is designed for Second Life residents. Certain platform features may use your Second Life avatar name, display name, profile information, or other information associated with your Second Life presence.

You may not impersonate another resident, falsely claim ownership of another avatar, or intentionally misrepresent your identity in a way intended to deceive, defraud, harass, or harm another person.

Taboo! Social is independently owned and operated. It is not owned, operated, sponsored, endorsed, or officially affiliated with Linden Lab or Second Life.

Member Conduct

Taboo! Social encourages adult expression, open communication, friendships, relationships, networking, community participation, and the sharing of mature content. That freedom must be exercised responsibly.

When using Taboo! Social, you agree that you will not:

Harass, threaten, stalk, intimidate, exploit, blackmail, or abuse another person.
Impersonate another person or intentionally misrepresent your identity for fraudulent, deceptive, or harmful purposes.
Post content that is unlawful, defamatory, fraudulent, hateful, threatening, exploitative, or otherwise prohibited by these Terms or our Community Standards.
Upload or distribute malware, viruses, malicious code, harmful files, or any material intended to interfere with the operation or security of the platform.
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to another member’s account, private content, password-protected albums, administrative systems, servers, databases, or other restricted areas.
Create fake, duplicate, deceptive, or fraudulent accounts.
Use Taboo! Social to facilitate scams, fraud, identity theft, unauthorized financial activity, or other illegal conduct.
Send spam, repetitive messages, unsolicited promotions, or unauthorized commercial advertising.
Use bots, scraping tools, automated scripts, data-mining systems, reverse-engineering methods, or other automated technology to access, copy, monitor, or interfere with the platform without written authorization.
Attempt to bypass moderation tools, privacy controls, content restrictions, purchase systems, security measures, or account restrictions.
Encourage, assist, or instruct another person to violate these Terms.

Community Standards

Our Community Standards are incorporated into these Terms of Service by reference. You are responsible for reviewing and following those standards while using the platform.

Violations may result in warnings, content removal, feature restrictions, temporary suspension, loss of VIP benefits, loss of Credits, or permanent termination of your account.

Adult-Oriented Content

Taboo! Social is an adult-oriented community. Members may share sexual, suggestive, provocative, nude, erotic, fetish-related, or other mature content where permitted by these Terms and our Community Standards.

We do not prohibit content solely because it is sexual, provocative, unconventional, or intended for an adult audience. However, freedom of expression does not permit illegal, abusive, exploitative, non-consensual, threatening, or stolen content.

The following content is strictly prohibited:

Any sexual, suggestive, exploitative, or inappropriate content involving minors or persons presented as minors.
Non-consensual intimate images or recordings.
Sexual exploitation, coercion, trafficking, or blackmail.
Content uploaded without the necessary ownership, permission, authorization, or consent.
Content depicting or encouraging illegal activity.
Content intended to threaten, harass, humiliate, or endanger another person.

Prohibited content may be removed immediately and may result in permanent account termination. Where appropriate or legally required, suspected illegal activity may be reported to the relevant authorities.

User Content

You retain ownership of the original content you submit to Taboo! Social.

By uploading, posting, transmitting, or otherwise submitting content, you grant Taboo! Social a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, display, distribute, and use that content as reasonably necessary to operate, maintain, secure, promote, and improve the platform.

This license does not transfer ownership of your content to Taboo! Social.

You are solely responsible for the content you submit. You represent that:

You own the content or possess all rights and permissions necessary to share it.
The content does not violate another person’s copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, contractual, or other legal rights.
All individuals depicted in adult-oriented content are adults and consented to the creation and sharing of that content.
The content complies with these Terms, our Community Standards, and applicable law.

Photos and Albums

Taboo! Social may allow members to create public, private, friends-only, selected-member, or password-protected photo albums.

You are responsible for selecting the appropriate privacy settings and controlling who receives access to your protected content.

Password protection and privacy controls are intended to limit access, but no online system can prevent an authorized viewer from copying, downloading, photographing, recording, screenshotting, or redistributing content after viewing it.

Only share private or sensitive content with people you know and trust. Taboo! Social is not responsible for unauthorized copying or redistribution performed by another member.

Private Communications

Private messaging tools are provided to allow members to communicate directly.

Private messages are not routinely reviewed. However, authorized administrators may review messages when reasonably necessary to investigate reports of harassment, threats, fraud, scams, illegal activity, security incidents, or violations of these Terms or our Community Standards.

Do not use private messages to share passwords, financial account information, government identification, or other highly sensitive personal information.

Privacy

Your use of Taboo! Social is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the platform, you acknowledge that you have read and accepted that policy.

VIP Memberships, Credits, and Purchases

Certain Taboo! Social features may require an active VIP Membership, Credits, or another digital purchase.

VIP Memberships provide access to designated premium features for the purchased membership period. Memberships do not automatically renew unless a future purchase option expressly states otherwise.

Credits are a pay-as-you-go option that may be used to access designated premium actions without purchasing VIP Membership.

Unless otherwise required by applicable law, VIP Memberships, Credits, affiliate upgrades, and other digital purchases are considered delivered once activated and are non-refundable.

We may modify prices, membership durations, VIP benefits, Credit costs, Credit package values, affiliate commission levels, or available premium features at any time.

Changes to future pricing or benefits do not create an obligation to refund or replace benefits that were available under a previous purchase.

Credits and VIP benefits have no cash value outside Taboo! Social and may not be exchanged, transferred, resold, or redeemed for currency unless expressly authorized by us.

Affiliate Program

Eligible members may participate in the Taboo! Social affiliate program by distributing authorized vendors or promotional materials.

Affiliate commissions, commission percentages, vendor permissions, upgrade options, payment methods, and program availability may be modified at any time.

Affiliates may not use misleading claims, spam, impersonation, unauthorized branding, fraudulent transactions, or deceptive promotional methods.

We may suspend or terminate affiliate participation and withhold commissions connected to fraud, abuse, chargebacks, manipulated transactions, or violations of these Terms.

Moderation

We reserve the right, but are not obligated, to monitor, review, restrict, edit, remove, or refuse content or accounts that violate these Terms, our Community Standards, applicable law, or the safety and integrity of the community.

Moderation decisions may consider the nature of the violation, severity, context, prior conduct, risk to other members, and the member’s response to warnings.

We are not required to provide advance notice before removing prohibited content or restricting an account where immediate action is reasonably necessary.

No Guarantee of Connections or Outcomes

Taboo! Social provides tools for adults to socialize, communicate, share content, make friends, form communities, attend events, network, date, and explore potential relationships.

We do not guarantee that you will receive messages, friend requests, invitations, matches, dates, friendships, relationships, business opportunities, event participation, popularity, or any other particular outcome.

Every member’s experience is different and depends on factors beyond our control.

Interactions With Other Members

Taboo! Social may manually verify that an account is associated with a Second Life resident, but this does not constitute a background check, identity guarantee, character reference, safety certification, or endorsement of that member.

We cannot guarantee the identity, intentions, truthfulness, conduct, safety, or reliability of every member.

You are solely responsible for deciding whether to communicate with, share content with, conduct transactions with, meet, date, collaborate with, or otherwise interact with another member.

Use good judgment, protect your personal information, and take appropriate safety precautions when interacting with others online, in Second Life, or outside the platform.

Events, Groups, and Member Activities

Members may create, promote, host, join, or participate in groups, contests, events, discussions, and other community activities.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, member-created events, groups, contests, venues, products, and activities are independently operated by their organizers and are not sponsored, managed, guaranteed, or endorsed by Taboo! Social.

Members participate in such activities at their own discretion and risk.

Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, the Taboo! Social name, logos, branding, software, interface designs, graphics, original text, databases, source code, systems, and other platform materials are owned by or licensed to us and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, sell, modify, reverse engineer, republish, or commercially exploit any protected platform material without prior written permission, except where expressly permitted by law.

Authorized affiliates may use approved promotional materials solely for participation in the Taboo! Social affiliate program and in accordance with any instructions we provide.

Copyright and Rights Complaints

If you believe content posted on Taboo! Social infringes your copyright, privacy, publicity, or other legal rights, contact the administration team and provide enough information for us to identify and review the material.

We may remove or restrict disputed content while a complaint is reviewed. Repeated infringement may result in account termination.

Third-Party Services

Taboo! Social may contain links to or interact with third-party services, including Second Life, Linden Lab services, payment systems, social-media platforms, Discord, external websites, and independently operated virtual locations.

We do not control those services and are not responsible for their content, availability, security, privacy practices, transactions, policies, or conduct.

Your use of a third-party service is governed by that service’s own terms and policies.

Availability and Changes to the Service

We continually develop and improve Taboo! Social.

We may add, modify, replace, restrict, suspend, discontinue, or remove features, services, prices, benefits, content, or functionality at any time.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, continuous availability, permanent retention of any particular feature, or compatibility with every browser, device, Second Life viewer, network, or operating system.

Account Suspension or Termination

We may warn, restrict, suspend, disable, or permanently terminate an account, with or without advance notice, for:

Violations of these Terms or our Community Standards.
Fraudulent, deceptive, abusive, threatening, or unlawful conduct.
Attempts to compromise platform security or another member’s account.
Abuse of payment, Credit, VIP, affiliate, contest, event, or promotional systems.
Conduct that threatens the safety, privacy, security, or integrity of the community.
Repeated violations following warnings or prior enforcement actions.

Suspension or termination may result in the loss of access to account content, VIP Membership benefits, Credits, affiliate privileges, commissions, messages, albums, groups, events, and other platform features.

Disclaimer of Warranties

Taboo! Social and all related services are provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, reliability, availability, compatibility, and security.

We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, continuously available, compatible with every device or viewer, or completely free from bugs, harmful components, data loss, or security vulnerabilities.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Taboo! Social and its owners, administrators, moderators, employees, affiliates, licensors, contractors, and service providers shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from or relating to:

Your use of or inability to use the platform.
Your interactions with other members.
Content posted, shared, copied, or redistributed by members.
Loss of account access, content, Credits, VIP benefits, affiliate commissions, or data.
Third-party services, events, locations, products, or transactions.
Unauthorized access, technical failures, service interruptions, or security incidents.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability. In those jurisdictions, our liability will be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Taboo! Social and its owners, administrators, moderators, employees, affiliates, licensors, contractors, and service providers from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, judgments, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising from:

Your use of the platform.
Your content or interactions with other members.
Your violation of these Terms or our Community Standards.
Your violation of applicable law.
Your infringement of another person’s rights.

Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is determined to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

No Waiver

Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms does not waive our right to enforce that provision or any other provision in the future.

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Community Standards, and any additional rules or policies posted by Taboo! Social, constitute the entire agreement between you and Taboo! Social regarding your use of the platform.

Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms of Service to reflect changes to the platform, our business practices, legal requirements, security practices, or community policies.

Updated Terms become effective when posted unless a later effective date is specifically stated.

Your continued use of Taboo! Social after revised Terms are published constitutes your acceptance of those changes.
